  • Just to reiterate I don't think anyone meant keep paying them for fear of telling them, I think it was more of a case of blanking the door everytime until they do a DRO and BR for other half versus telling them face to face of her plans in the hope that she won't have to keep hiding from the door every week, she is going to stop the payments to save for her fees.

I must admit I wouldn't fancy someone knocking the door all the time, and strongly agree with Skylight about not being uncomfortable in your own home :)
  • thank u every one u r all so helpfull,
i phoned cccs and they advised me not to tell them about the dro or br because they will then apply more pressure, so i have wrote a letter and got copys of my budget to give them

    Send it to

    Provident Personal Credit
    Colonnade,
    Sunbridge Road,
    Bradford BD1 2LQ

offering £1 per month (make sure that your 'budget' does not show surplus income).

Make it clear that you want to set up a standing order to pay direct.

They will recall the debt from the local collector and hand it to CK Edrupt, their in-house solicitor.

I don't sugest that you commence payment - go BR/DRO as soon as you can.

But it does remove the local collector from the equation and Provi are very good with this. You can tell the local collector that you are dealing with head office.

I do this all the time for my clients at the CAB
