look at the percentage on your loan, that might make you feel better about talking to them?

i wouldn't tell them your plans for a dro and br as they will increase the pressure to pay. personally, i would not answer the door and try and get your fees saved up asap. it's not great i know

i know...it is very difficult, be strong though. the quicker you save the quicker you will have them off your back x
  • I had a loan with provident just told the agent no to come again as i couldnt afford to pay her anymore and that i was going bankrupt, she sent her boss round and told her the same thing even though she was a jumped up so n so looking her nose down at me lol. So i just said stop bothering me you are not getting nothing and shut the door in her face they never came back just sent me letters. So just tell them and dont worry what can they do nothing!!! Be brave and good luck
  • would it be best to tell head office of our plans? or just the agent
  • I think Misty wether you tell them direct or not be prepared for abit of stick from them until you've saved your fees, Unfortunately we all go through it and if your like me I hate any sort of confrontation!

They are not going to understand, be nice about it or just go ok we will leave you alone.

I think if I were worried about them knocking I would call head office tell them and that you won't be answering the door to their people, and any communication needs to be in writing.

Good luck hun hope you get it all sorted asap x

You HAVE to tell them. You CANNOT continue to pay because you are frightend to tell them to your face as paying them under a DRO (or BR) is illegal and your DRO will fail. (I know its for saving up the fees, but still the same!)

Is there a phone number for the collector on the card? Call or text her instead with your full details and reference number, telling them that you wont be paying anymore and they are not to call nor send any more representatives round. If someone does turn up, be polite and tell them on the doorstep you have been advised not to get into any communication with them as the OR will do that and close the door quickly. Don't engage in any conversation with them as they WILL give you the crap about prison/fraud etc.
