Hi Everyone,
I wonder if you could help are EDF any good?.
I,m looking to at my energy costs today and came across this
http://www.quidco.com/utilities/
EDF are offering £100 credit to your account and quidco are giving £80, so a total of £180.
I use quidco regularly and i have no problems using them for cashback but i was wondering if EDF were any good at customer service and if they could be trusted paying the £100?
I currently use Ebico for my gas usage (12,500kw = £458 last year)
and British Gas click 6 for electricity (2,745kw = £267 last year).
Based on the figures above then EDF online saver 7 would charge £718.
So if was to receive £180 in cashback then my next years bill would be £538 (if i do not use more gas & electric).
Thanks for your help!

Well i have had no problems personally but there are others who have, but then in terms of service i don't think there is much difference between any of them so just go for the best deal.0

Hi, I change suppliers every year but my favorites in order are-
1/. ScottishPower.
2/ .EON.
3/. EDF.
In terms of there online account management via their website I definately consider ScottishPower to be the best and they generally come out best for consumers with higher electricity useage.0 -
Note there is a £60 cancellation penalty if you want to change again before Dec 2011. You also have a standing charge of nearly £200 - you need to ensure you will be using enough fuel to make it worthwhile.0

Hi Op,
I can say I've had a positive experience with EDF, I've been with them nearly a year and had no problems yet (touch wood!) The phone is always answered quickly and my bills have always been correct. They seem to me to be one of the better energy companies out there.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

I've been with EDF for several years now and I've always found their customer service to be very good. I was shocked when I called to transfer some funds from my gas account to my electric bill and I managed to speak to a person after only two rings! At 6pm!!
No faffing around with "press 1 for bills, press 2 for enquiries" etc etc, and the woman on the phone was very polite and helpful. I was gearing up for a real long-winded call but the whole thing was ever and done with in less than 5 minutes. I've just moved to one of their online tariffs and I just supply the meter readings when I get and email, so far it's all been great. Sooooo much better than British Gas

Don't you have to switch before the end of November to qualify for the £100 bonus? It takes 6-8 weeks to switch so it's likely to be a very tight timescale to qualify for the bonus.0
