usb adaptors can be unreliable, it is better to use an internal PCI wireless card like one of theseagreed, they are temperamental things
as i thought - no, that is merely your wired Ethernet connection. wireless adapters are very inexpensive now -- couple of quid . Try Amazon.

Says who?
I've been using one for over 2 years and never had any problems with it.0 -
Find a small independant PC shop in your town. You should be able to get a wireless card with installation for £15-£20. Installation should only take them 5 minutes.0

PCI is the name of the slot your wireless card will plug into, worth checking you have one free to fit it in (tho unless you've been adding extra bits yourself you're unlikely to have other PCI cards taking up all the slots... and/or have at least one card you can happily get rid of to free up a slot)0 -
