Hi - Im hoping that someone can help. I took out a loan for 25000 in approximately '03-'04 from First Plus. I then paid it off in 2005 through my remortgage. The problem I have is that, I dont even have an account number now :-( I do however remember paying the company way over the loan cost due to fees etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction please....I appreciate any help

Hi Karen
Do you do online banking with the same bank as where you paid the loan repayments off?
If so you may be able to track down the account number next to the monthly repayments.
This should allow you to go back about 7 years online.
You could try otherwise writing to them and give them as many details as possible, date/year taken out loan and settled, full name any addresses you lived in that time when you taken out the loan.
Another way is to request a SAR (Subject access request), give them as stated as many details as possible, and they have 40 calendar days to comply and send all the data held on your account, however, you enclose £10 cheque or postal order for this request.
SAR letter template here:

Hope this helps.;)

Hiya
With a SAR requests, its normally that of 40 calendar days, and for just the agreement request its normally 12.
Then for the reclaiming, its 8 weeks.
(Just thought I would post the timescales for you anyway).;)
Yes send them a copy of the statement, this should make it easier for them to try to track down the info, good luck. X:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
