  • I'm not getting notifications despite subscribing to the tickets thread with "instant notification". It used to work, but stopped, and the emails are not going to spam. Any ideas why this might be happening, or rather not happening ): Anyone else have this prob? Thanks.

It usually means that you either missed an alert or not been signed in when you did read one.

Best thing to do is unsubscribe and resubscribe. That usually fixes the problem.

Thanks. I had already tried unsubscribe/resubscribe but still wasn't getting any emails ... until today when a couple appeared, so maybe your post had an effect anyway, somehow?
    Anyway thanks for helping :T

    Hi all

Went to The King's Speech tonight which I really enjoyed. Bit of a small incident though - one lady kept turning her phone on during the show... although it probably couldn't be seen from the stage it was so distracting for everyone around her. The usher at the door asked her twice to turn it off, at which the lady tutted very loudly! Now, I was behind this woman in the box office queue and I heard she had got the tickets for free from See Film First... I'm sure she wasn't from here (as everyone seems very well mannered!) but just a heads up to abide by the rules, as the theatre could very well stop providing free tickets if the system becomes known for bad behaviour. It's a v different environment to the cinema.

Anyway thought I'd tell that little story!

Actually, phones shouldn't be used in the cinema either. Similar environment; both involve distracting and annoying your fellow audience members.

I was at the theatre a month or so back, very close to the stage when two separate people used their phones.

Has anyone signed up to ShowFilmFirst & then not got many emails through? I have had this problem for a while, despite contacting them & checking that there is nothing wrong. Reading some of the comments above I am wondering if it is because my home address is outside London? I work in central London though & so the idea was to get offers for shows there - do you think I should change my details to give my work address? Do they ever actually use your address to send stuff through the post or is it just to locate whether you are likely to attend specific shows?
I see on here for example offers from them that I have not received.

Just received this email this morning.

check your emails, you may have received one hopefully x
We have a few complimentary tickets to a fabulous new show at the Manchester Opera House - Packed full of fangtastic songs, spooktacular dance routines and loads of laughs, get ready to vamp it up at Vampirette! Tickets are for Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th. A comedy musical like no other, this all new show from the producer of Never Forget follows Vampi, a young vampire who is determined to be a normal girl! In this clever comedy the life (and secrets) of a Vampire family in Manchester are revealed as they set about their daily lives. While Vampi’s brother and parents are contented vampires, she just wants to be ordinary - spend time with friends, fall in love… and have a reflection!
Vampirette, combines the attraction and fascination with Vampires with fun, laughter and above all great music, in a stunning stage show that includes spectacular vampire flying sequences, prizes for best dressed audience members, a puppet bat, vampire themed cocktails at the bar and classic songs including I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Down At The Club, Come Fly With Me, California Girls, Total Eclipse Of The Heart, Eloise and many more...plus some wicked dance moves.
Writer Jonathan Choat said: “Manchester has such a vibrant entertainment scene now, that it is the perfect place to stage the world premiere of Vampirette which I believe will be a great hit. You will know the songs and you will be singing them for weeks after, and our dancing and special effects are just spectacular ‘’.
The stellar cast includes Over the Rainbow and We Will Rock You’s Lauren Samuels as Vampi and Manchester’s Matthew Rixon (soon to be seen in the London O2 panto later this year). as Igor.

Hi - I just got this too but wondered whether it was suitable for kids and I have no access to a printer before the show. Any suggestions? Can you show email on a smartphone?

my email states that it is not suitable for children under 8. I assume over that age is OK.
