Hello
We have just had a quote for £262 to have cavity wall insulation installed at our home.
We have a 3 bedroom semi..
Would be interested to know how much other people are paying!
Thank you in advance for any replies.

It completely depends on how big your property is!!!
CWI is charged by the m2 once the maximum allowed for your type of property has been reached.
Not sure what other companies are charging at the min but we charge £149 standard then extra per m2 for every m2 over the standard amount. This would be in the instance where your property might have been extended, or built larger than average.
If you want any further info then feel free to PM me£2 Savers Club #156!

have you look at your energy suppiers to see if they do any deals for customers or if you've got any tesco vouchers , they do their own home insulation service0

We have a 3 bedroom semi and basic cost was £99 last October.
We were given a contact from a neighbour for Energy Saving Trust (www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/southwest) which is a Government Funded Scheme. We did not quality for this but were given information from them to contact a grant scheme called Warm Streets 0800 0822234 (SW area).
The cost of the insulation was £457.85 but with the scheme we only had to pay £99, we opted to have a different grade of insulation Carbon Saver which cost a further £55 so we paid a total of £154.
(contact info correct for October 2009 & SW)
We were initially going via Eon but got messed about and let down badly, passed on to someone that gave us strange quotes, passed on again, had the survey, dates booked for the job to be done, they didn't turn up surveyor had not put the job in even though he gave us dates. Prices quoted and then changed. Luckily we ended up with the Warm Streets and are very happy with the insulation.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0
