Help - tax credit query

Hi - I am posting for a friend.
She split up with her partner in Feb this year - they actually were divorced about 3 years ago but had gotten back together but it didn't work out.
I think based on her income from last year that she wd be entitled to CTC and a bit of WTC but I am not sure if his income needs to be included as household income from last year as he only left in feb 10. Can't find anything about it - she would be making a single person application not joint.
Many thanks in advanc

Tax credit claims run from 6 April to 5 April, if your friend enters a new claim it would be begin from the date she entered her claim, for example 17 November 2010 to 5 April 2011.
She would be asked to fill in a form requesting HER income only for the past tax year.
Tax Credits treat single and joint claims differently.0
