The following group have opened 2 new service stations (on opposite sides of the motorway ) just north of Dublin and there are 2 more due to open soon ( if not already open) around Dundalk....

They are open but I would think they will follow the trend of the UK services and will be very expensive! Also not close to the border. I am not sure how much of a saving can be made now? Ballymascanlon Service station would be closer and cheaper. At Middletown (Armagh) there is a big station just across. also Muff outside Londonderry is not too far. Also Bridge End too on the Buncrana Road. One also across the bridge from Strabane.
Aughnacloy has also one not too far over the border.Dave0 -

Slightly OT, but funnily enough they are very competitive. They are currently 1.218 for Diesel and 1.308 for Unleaded, which is less then you would pay at the Tesco Stations or any other station anywhere close to the Motorway or even around Dublin.0 -

1.30 Euro is 1.14 Stirling. There's not much difference in fuel prices N/S of the border now.0 -

works for diesel (which if anyone is doing a lot of driving they will have) though €1.21 is about £1.05 and I paid £1.20 this morning in Maxol, 15p a litre on diesel x 50 litres = £7.50 saving if you're around the borderNorn Iron Club Member #64
