Hey guys,
Basically, ive been offered a part time job, which would be around 12-16 hours per week.
I have a 2yr old child and i claim income support, child benefit, and child tax credit. Im just wandering how it would affect these benefits?
Please help?
Thanks guys

depends - Are you a single parent? You work 16hrs or more per wk - you would still get CB and CTC but you IS would stop.
Best go to www.entitledto.com for more calculations.0 -
Take 16 hours per week, you get tax credits, child tax credits, and childcare costs. You won't get your IS but that will be replaced with your wages. You might also still be entitled to HB and CTB. Your CB isn't touched either. Might be an idea to get some child support from the father also.Hey guys,

Depending on how long you have been on IS there are some back to work benefits, as you are a lone parent.
Good Luck.*SIGH*

take 16 hours as it is possible that most benefits will go if you are fit to work0

you maybe could stay on income support if you work less than 12 hours a week as long as your wage is less than your benefit rates and you will still get your full hb and ct payment but check the amount you are allowed to earn up to. also i think you can ignore the first £20 of your earnings. please go see them in the job center. you may also qualify for an outfit for the interview of up to £150.
