Microsoft Small Business Help

OK, we'll be needing Microsoft Small Business of some sort. We'll have 3 users in the office, plus 1x laptop, but possibly need to upgrade the number of users as time goes by - and will need to use Access which doesn;t seem to be automatically included anymore.

I can't get my head round all the different formats?? WHat should I be buying?? If i'm buying Dell Computers should I buy the software form Dell, or is it cheaper elsewhere?

Thanks to everyone more informed than me!

Buying it preinstalled on a single m/c is usually cheaper, but if you need 3 copies, it may be cheaper to buy it from here:

you'll need pro if you want access.

PS Don't forget there is a new o/s and office around the corner.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

Sorry, I'm just getting used to Microsoft 2003... When is the new one due? And aren't they usually full of bugs at first? I'd be alright with 2003 wouldn't I?

have a look on microsoft.com for release dates for office 2007.

office 2007 beta 2 is available to download if you want to try it out or there is a "test drive version online".
NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"
DR. BENWAY: "Very likely but there's no time."

Cheers. Is it fair to say that on past performance, it's worth holding out on new Microsoft Operating systems due to the level of bugs they have??
  • Remember dont go for the new software straight away, wait until it becomes more stable. Great Tip from a beta tester.
