  • Hooray, it's Friday. Off to mum and dad's for the weekend. Have filed my first tax return so feeling efficient. However have had next month's payslip and there won't be much spare!!

I have started doing a masters (LLM) in medical law and ethics which is interesting but quite expensive, still with a bit of interest free CC swapping I should manage to borrow it for "free". Fortunately, it's modular so sort of pay as you go.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

  • Groooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaannnn

I am soooo piddled off with work at the moment, it's really giving me a kick up the bum to get this blimmin mortgage murdered. Come on payday!!

A few unforseen circumstances mean it looks like big OPs won't start til January payday which is a bit irritating but trying not to let it annoy me.

Still, looking forward to payrise (as of Monday on higher rate) so Nov payday will be fab especially as I've done some extra part time work so it will be doubly delicious.

I just feel sometimes that because I'm quite junior (compared to everyone else in my region) that they just think "It's ok, we'll get her to do that, she won't complain". Well, the final straw is quite close!!!!!!!

Anyway, going to catch up on some MFW threads now.

  • Thanks SmlSave, unfortunately it has more to do with where I work than what work I do. Someone was supposed to be sent here permanently, releasing me to go back to my normal job but he has "declined it" how, I don't know, he said it's "not convenient" so I have to stay here until they find some other mug to come here and do the job. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad::mad:

I think it may be because today is the first day my entire commute has been in the dark and it was raining and I have left our gorgeous puppy (planned and saved up for btw!!) at home with OH who is on half term and I'm jealous and want to go out and play in the garden with them both.

Still, I'm keeping my eye on the prize which is for him to be my house husband when the mortgage is gone and I'll work part time so we can spend loads of time together.

    Thanks for the morale!

Oh that's poo then. I hope someone comes along fairly quickly to take over the job then

Don't think I'd trust my DH to be a house husband. I'd probably come home to find that he'd played on the computer all day, no tidying had been done and we'd have to live on chilli con carne as he has no initative when it comes to dinner!

  • Well, OH has gone back to work after half term. I love it when he's at home all day so it makes me even more determined to get rid of the mortgage befoer i'M 40. I was 29 yesterday though so need to be quick.

Just waiting for this month's payment to go through so I can update the signature. We have a few outstanding bits and bobs to pay off just to really sort ourselves out before big OPs start in Dec.

Not in the mood for work today so keep doing sums to see how much we can squeeze out of my pay!! Promotion starts today but so far only my title has been updated on our system, not my grade or salary, I know it's early but I shall be keeping my beady eye on it!!

Is it odd that I want it to get cold so we can light our fire and curl up in front of it!!!!????

Dog has last jabs on Fri so will be able to take him for long walks in our lovely countryside soon. Happy happy happy :D

It's not odd at all! I go and visit my Mum whenever she says she's got the fire on :D One day I shall have my own and someone will find me a week later all crisp and roasted! lol

  • That made me laugh SmlSave. It does get absolutely boiling in the sitting room when the fire is in!! Have to have all the doors open to the rest of the house.

Just checked and salary is updated, have ahd a quick calc and even after LOTS of tax, and my blimmin student loan, we'll be on track for big OPs.:j:j
