'credit card shuffle' query!

I see that Barclaycard offer a reduced rate of interest for existing customers. I want to take advantage of this but need to first get rid of the current balance to another two cards.

Sounds stupid, but how do I go about this? Is it as a transfer or pay like a bill?

Also, was thinking of asking if can do the same with santender cc. I dont see any promotion from them, has anyone else been successful with this?

You need to contact the other 2 credit card providers and give them your barclaycard number & amount of transfer and then once your barclaycard balance shows £0 you'll be able to transfer everything back again but that means that you'll have 4 transfer fees. Who are the other providers?

Didnt think about additional transfer fees. Want to move about £2500 in total off Barclaycard and £3500 back.

Trying to reduce monthly payments (ie outgoings) to start with as we are short at the mo. Then in a few months increase monthly payment so more goes towards paying off the balance instead of the interest. It will take some time to repay and then I wanted to do the same with other cards. Cant get 0% balance transfer card as poor credit rating due to tough times and dont know how best to go about reducing our payments and improving our finances.
