Linux crashes on certain sites

Hey guys - anybody help with this??

My Acer Aspire runs on Linux and has just recently started to crash on certain sites, notably BBC site.

Any ideas of solutions??

    There are a number of things that could cause this. It will depend on your browser, the Linux dist you are using and possibly the software you have installed such as your Flash player.

    I don't use the iPlayer but I remember reading, some time ago now, that it will not run to well on Linux machines. This might have changed now.

    Is its trying to use a second program to display content, for example media player?
    On puppy linux there is mplayer which works similarly but it is a bit of a fiddle to get it all running properly.
    I think on some distributions, you can decide which program colaborates with the browser or find a plugin that will work with it..
