    most supermarkets and sweet shops sell 'orange and lemon slices'. lovely for topping iced or buttercreamed cakes. also crystallised ginger goes nicely on chocolate. or........and I did this once when desperate .........candied peel (usually for PUTTING IN cakes)!
    but my most succesful ones were fruit pastilles! yes the ones in tubes from the sweet shop!

    I found that posh delis sometimes sell them,otherwise french christmas markets do them if you get one visiting-the tangerines are lush!

    or make your own! its just making a sugar syrup and simmering the fruits in it for a couple of hours. then leaving them cool and tossing in caster sugar.
