thanks button not working :o(

in Site feedback and Forum Help
i tried and refreshed six times and it still would let me thank various people in the money saving arms forum, adey, jessilu and whoever elses threads ive replied this evening, dalek, so far

this is an ongoing problem incidently, i need this to work for when i blitz the competition forum, sometime this weekend, thanks

ive got three weeks for comps to catch up on, its very doable ;)

    mine too - at least it's not just me. I reported it via email but got a less than helpful auto response referring me to some FAQ's which didn't solve the issue. I'm sure people think I'm just being rude not thanking them thoughicon9.gif

    mine too.

    I believe its only linked to the old skin. Not the new one.

    I seem to recall this happened before with the thanks button and its quite possibly also linked to the login problem which many are suffering as the address changed slightly.

    Not keen on the new skin as its missing the "new posts" icon indicator that is present on the old skin.

    Mine hasn't been working for the past week either. Nothing happens when I press the 'thanks' button except that it disappears - no 'thanks' box appears underneath the post like it would normally do.

    Additionally, if I press the 'thanks' button when some people have already thanked the post, the 'thanks' box below disappears in addition to the 'thanks' button itself.

    I am using the old skin and this is happening with Firefox, Chrome and Opera.

    Yep - see thread started by BogofBabe further down this page re Thanks button not working. I figured out what the problem is causing it and Fermi helped me check it out - sorted. It IS down to having switched back to the "old view". Switch to the "new view" and the thanks button works again.

    BOARD GUIDE - Perhaps you should merge these 2 threads on the thanks button?

    Thanks button now working in old style ...many many thanks, I can actually read all the posts now!
    We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
    Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
