            Full details on https://www.americanexpress.co.uk
No annual fee is currently charged for the running of the Account. However, if in the 12 months preceding the Card Anniversary Date the total value of Transactions (excluding interest and Balance Transfer) on your Account is less than £500, we will charge you an Account servicing charge of £15.
After the first 3 months you'll get up to 1% MoneyBack on almost every £1 you spend. The rebate is not payable in respect of any month in which the minimum payment is not received by the due date. The rebate is not payable in respect of cash withdrawals, interest, fees, balance transfers, or expenditure in any one month exceeding the amount of your Credit Limit. An annual rebate on the aggregate amount of all Transactions (other than the exclusions stated above) will be payable to you by us at the following rates:
0.5% for aggregate amounts up to £2,000; and
1% for aggregate amounts in excess of £2,001
American Express may vary the APR, interest rates and other charges from time to time. The minimum monthly payment will be 3% of the outstanding balance or £5, whichever is greater. Balance Transfers conducted within the initial 6 month period from the date we open your account will be charged at a Balance Transfer rate of 2.9% APR (monthly rate 0.24%) fixed for a period of 6 months from the date we open your account and thereafter at the standard rate 12.9% APR (monthly rate 1.02%), fixed until you've paid off that balance in full. Balance Transfers conducted after the initial 6 month period from the date we open your account will be charged at the standard rate 12.9% APR (monthly rate 1.02%), fixed until you've paid off that balance in full. The Blue Card standard interest rate for goods and services is 1.17% per month (14.9% APR) and 1.50% per month (21.9% APR including Transaction Charge) for cash withdrawals, based on an average line of credit of £1,500 with no annual fee. Written details are available on request.
Cash Withdrawal fee is the higher of £2.00 or 2.0% of withdrawal amount.
Travel Accident Insurance is offered through American Express and subject to conditions of cover. Written details are available on request. If you have the American Express Charge Card, Gold Card or Platinum Card, you will be eligible for the higher level of travel accident insurance cover. Please refer to the Insurance Terms and Conditions for details.Snootchie Bootchies!0

I guess you guys have just been unlucky, as they haven't told me about a reduction in cashback. Thought there might've been something with my statement but no. I must be special ;D... or more likely I'll be getting a letter in the next couple of days. 0 0

Same with me. However for some strange reason my cashback is now showing as 1% (on my last statement). Basically I'm on Platinum, and the cashback was showing as 2% for the last few months, but then on my last statement it is down to 1%."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

I also have only had my card for a few weeks. I would like to cancel my card when I get my first lot of cashback.
Trouble is, the cashback is payable after the first 12 months. To cancel the card you will then be into the second 12 months and will still have to spend another £500 on the card to avoid the £15 annual service charge.
 Have I got this right?0
-
No. They only charge you if you haven't spent over £500 in the previous 12 months.
If you cancel your card then you've ended your contract with them.0

            Let me get this right.
 If I spend £2500 after 1 October, does this mean the Amex Blue cashback I will get is (0.5% * £2000 ) + (1% * 500) or thereabouts?
 Or does it mean (1% * £2500) ??Snootchie Bootchies!0
