I don't know if anyone might know what the problem is and how to fix it?
I tried a system restore on my Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit (upgraded from Vista home Premium). The machine shut down then on restart I got the Windows Is Starting message then it just goes to a black screen with the mouse arrow in the middle and proceeds no further! The HDD indicator gives an occasional flash, no more.
I've tried safe mode and thats the same.
Windows is just not loading. I don't have a disc because there is a recovery partition on the HDD. I can't access that because the thing is not starting up to enable access!
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Download and save the Windows 7 32-bit Repair Disc image to your Desktop.
Next, download and install ImgBurn(No need to install the ASK Toolbar. Remove the relevant ticks). Burn the Image to Disc. Use this guide(skip step 2b)[/QUOTE]

Thanks Donnie. Trouble is there's no desktop. It will not load beyond a black screen directly after "Windows Is Starting"! No password request, no nothing.
Edit - sorry, lightbulb moment, you mean the p.c I'm using to write this!?0 -
You don't need me to answer, do you?
