As long as the 'final payment' is within October - then you can cancel the SO. But do bear in mind you can allow a 13th payment to go into this account .... potentially worthwhile if you're not continuing into a further year.
But not worthwhile if the maturity date is in the first few days of Nov. If you've done it sensibly and have the SO set for the 1st of the month ..... let the 1st Nov payment go in (or alter the SO to the 1st) if maturity is eg after the 10th.
(Whatever you do - don't get carried away and allow 2 payments to go in during Oct - as that blows the T&Cs for the whole year)If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
