HDD Recorder - Record on seperate AV?

Right.. tried getting a VCR.. not going well...

So going to try an HDD Recorder. Currently already have NTL and you can get HDD Recorders 80gb with freeview for under the £100 mark.

I have NO aerial coming into my room however. Is it possible to tell the recorder to record AV2 for example (if plugged into AV1).. i.e

TV
AV1: Freeview/hddrecorder
AV2: NTL

So I want to use the hddrecorder to record NTL!

Thanks

Your HDD recorder would have to record from the scart. That means it needs to have an encoder (analogue to digital). I doubt a Freeview HDD will have this.

You need a HDD recorder which can record from an external source.
