I currently have AVG this years the free edition which runs fine, but it asked me to update to next years edition, I did not click it cause some times when you do it ends up then not free any more and just a free trial for a while.
So I dont know what to do?
Not sure if this is the free edition for next year or whether its just a way to turn into a trial for a short period and then you pay for it?
The Link below.

Should I update and take that chance or not?
At the moment its all running fine.
Or maybe just update from search and download myself rather then clicking their one they offer?

Seconded, AVG Free is worse than useless. If you want a 'paid for' AV, go for Kaspersky (or free with Barclays internet banking). No free lunch, and no free laptop
