Not seeing laptops on network sharing full map

hi can anyone help
ive netgear rangemax plug directly into my computer(modem router)
this computer also hasits own wireless card.
on opening up network sharing centre internet connections are there for my 2 laptops but they are not seen on the full network map.
these are all open for seeing on the network map as well as my printer but are not been seen
why???
please help as its doing my head in

    I also have that router - 2 laptops and a wireless printer all connected - but they down't show on the full network map, are just listed underneath as unable to be shown on the map - but doesn't bother me, they are all connected and I can access them all....... not undertsanding the problem. Why do you need to see them on a map?
