However it's the retailers discretion if they are going to attempt a repair or a replacement under SOGA. Howver if the return was under DSR they have no choice but to refund.

Unless their T&C's specify that you have to pay the return cost they either have to collect or repay any costs. Good luck though, they seem a right dodgy outfit.
