Credit Card Application

Hi there,

I recently applied for a Vanquis Credit Card as ive been reading a lot about the chances to repair my credit rating and have been making positive steps to do such that. I had been close to a month since my application and i have not been contacted by Vanquis but i was contacted twice this week by a third party claiming to be ready to process my application for me and asking me to call a premium rate number.

Is this the normal way of things and has anyone else had a similar issue? i am reluctant to make the call regardless of the company offering to refund the cost of the call etc. Can anyone offer any advice as i dont want to be a fool and be scammed.

It sounds like a scam to me. If you've got the card I would've thought a month was well long enough to contact you.

Give them a call? (not the premium thingy, Vanswiz)

Hi there,

I have just recently been accepted for a vanquis card. I was telephoned to complete my application but it was definitely through vanquis and not a third party. The telephone number that rang me was 0800191558. I would perhaps give them a call just to see if they are trying to contact you. At the end of my telephone call they told me that my application had been successful.
