  • got a phone call from this lot again today the guy on the phone says he was chasing a debt to o2, i told him that we are bankrupt as of 25th august and that o2 were declared in the bankruptcy so he says that this is dated 17th sept and so i must pay or they will take further action. of corse i fought my corner telling him he was talking rubbish i offered to give him the name and address of the or but he wasnt interested, he siad that the or can get in touch with him. anyone got any ideas should i bother the or with this as they are talking c*** or should i pass it on.

Whilst the temptation is probably to ignore it, if it were me i'd still contact the OR and make them aware of the situation so they can add a note to your file. It's not unheard of for people to still be on the receiving end of some kind of court ordered payment as a result of thinking that the OR will take care of everything. I don't know the exact in's and out;s but i know it's possible and If all peace of mind costs you is a phone call then it's well worth doing in my book.

...and then start enjoying yourself at the callers expense! :rotfl:
  • We have also heard of them. We keep receiving letters from them, for the previous occupant of the property we are in, a debt they are chasing the other occupant for, o2 I believe, I have rang Buchananclark + Wells 3 times now, last time a week ago today, to once again tell them, this lady they are chasing, no longer lives here, we moved in, in May 10, and as far as we know, the other person moved out in April, they are 'still' sending the debt letters here, there now saying there sending a collector round, why should be have someone knocking on our door, for a debt that isn't even ours! There driving me mad with it.

This happened to me - even though I wrote to the County Court explaining that I was bankrupt and therefore the debt shouldn't go to an AoE...and it was still taken. And caused all manner of hassle at work, who I hadn't told about the bankruptcy (In the end I told them nothing that wasn't a matter of public record - would've been quicker for them do check me online themselves).

Hopefully I'll be getting it back this week - but I'm not holding my breath...
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all
