It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

I think there is a height limit on your road facing boundary of 1m but not on other boundaries, so it depends where you've built the wall as to whether you should have got planning permission. In other words you can normally build down the side and across the back of your house, but the front needs permission, unless its a certain distance (possibly 1m) back from the boundary.

  • Height limit is 1m if adjoining a highway used by vehicular traffic; 2m elsewhere. Also, if its a replacement, its not allowed to be higher than the original

I thought you said you built a 30m high wall! LOL.

As above, you should be fine.

You'll soon find out if you need it. No doubt some 'concerned' resident will tell the LPA soon enough.

We have a clause in our eeds saying that no wall can be built at the front of the house.

What about a fence on top of a wall?
