My other half and I are looking to open a simple account to transfer some money weekly into. It will only be around £10-15 per week as thats all we can afford at the moment.
Its basically going to be an emergency fund or fund for things like birthdays/xmas/ car tax or day trips and holidays.
We dont want an overdraft obviously or anything that charges us for having an account there.
ATM we bank with Abbey/Santander. It needs to be instant access and would be nice if it paid some interest oh and has to be servicable online.
I just don't know where to start with it all and I know if I phoned somewhere they would probably talk me into an account I didn't want or need.
