Do you plan to withdraw cash out from the card to spend during your holiday? Do you plan to purchase things on the card not in sterling?

If you are planning to use the car abroad then read this http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-travel-money
to book the holiday (assuming the booking is being taken in the UK) then any card should be fine - so lowest APR you can get (assuming you won't pay it off within a month). Worth being aware that some travel agents charge a fee to pay with a credit card.

Get a Post Office card, they don't charge commission or a "cross border handling fee" just a fancy name for currency exchange!
