Hi
You need to update the Malwarebytes database before doing the scan.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
You can analyse your HJT log here http://www.hijackthis.de or wait for an expert. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
-
Options:
(1) Backup everything you need and do a fresh install of vista. This will be your best option.
(2) System restore on a old date your remember when it behaved well.
(3) Do you remember what you installed before this started? If so, uninstall that first.
(4) Carry out an antivirus scan as well - apart from the above.
(5) Uninstall the following to see if this helps.
Windows Defender
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\AvastUI.exe
C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe
C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\GoogleToolbarNo tifier.exe
C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe
C:\Program Files\FireTrust\MailWasher Free\MailWasher.exe
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HiJackThis\HiJackThis.exe
Temporarily use windows firewall.
If it is still holding on the windows login part - try taskmanager and note what is holding up all the memory.
Good luck.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'

A friend of mine keeps telling me to buy Windows 7

The only thing I can think of is Windows Updates!

Will do

I'm out all day tomorrow, so if I can get the PC Started, (might leave it running overnight!) will try to sort this Sunday!

I've being using Mailwasher for sometime. Didn't realise it was dodgy! Will try the rest Sunday!
Thank you0 -
I dont believe mailwasher is dodgy in that sense, but its quite possible its effecting the computers speed (Much like installing AVG for example):idea:0
