After just having a new addition to our family we have decided to open a savings account for both our children where they can pay their birthday, christmas money into etc...

Plus Halifax Kids Regular Saver 6% (a lot less flexibility).0 -
you would be better opening an account in your own name, as you will get much better rates of interest (even with tax deducted) than you ever will in a children's account - banks don't seem to want childrens money any more as most are offering 1%-ish on their kids accounts - its a scandal!!0
