I wanted one of these but they were always out of stock.
So i emailed Argos and got this response:
"Thank you for your e-mail regarding availability of catalogue number 8757991 pine shoe cabinet.
I am very sorry to hear that the above item has been out of stock for some time, I have looked into this and can confirm that this was due to quality control issues. The supplier has now been changed and we are hopeful stock will be in full circulation within the next two weeks.
For up to date availability in your local store or for home delivery please keep checking via our website as this will be updated as stock arrives.
I trust this information will be of assistance to you.
Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us at order.enquiries@argos.co.uk or call us on 0870 600 8784.
Regards,"
So basically - the ones being flogged off here have been rejected by Argos on quality grounds. The Argos ones are due in fairly soon.0 -
Have wanted this for ages, but always out of stock. No glynwebb stores near me tho.0

Have to say, my friend has this in her hall (bought from Argos ages ago) - it is quite a chunky, ugly piece in my opinion. If you really need a shoe rack it is good for £15, but it's not pretty.0
