Hi
I have had problems in the past with credit, but from March this year everything has been paid and defaults have 'fallen off' (the six year thing), so my credit report show show no signs of defaults or CCJ's. However, I have applied for a couple of loans recently and have been turned down. I still have my old Vanquis card, so do you think that is what is hindering me. Shall I close it? I kept it open for the old 'available credit' thing...
Thanks

Depends really what your current report is like and obviously income
How long have you had vanquis
Any missed payments
What cards did you apply for?0 -

Hi
My credit report should be clear now since March, no missed payments on anything for about 4 years. Had vanquis for about 3 years... The loans I applied were from Santander and Egg I think.. Last time I checked credit report was in Feb and it had a default on there which was due to 'drop off' in March. Everything else was fine.. Income is over 30 grand..

Maybe try these http://www.flybe.com/card/0 -
Having checked the report again, I made a mistake! The default should come off this month and not March... Thanks for your advice though, If I have problems in the next month or so, then I will try the link..

To see if you're still credit worthy enough to hold the card I guess or maybe to increase your limits?"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -

I think its a credit increase, as I saw that search on mine, and have just received a letter for an increase this morning...0
