if you could post your system specs we could help a bit more in detail otherwise
best things to do to start off with are the basics
get update and run malwarebytes antimalware to check for any nasties which have gotten past your anti virus (post log on here for people to check over)
get update and run hijack this and post the report up here so people can check for un-nessesary programs
for the above instructions provided by alienrik
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM QUICK SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
If anything was found then do the exact same but run a FULL scan
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
If you get a message that you cant write to the hosts file then Press the SHIFT key, and whilst holding it RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (admin)
then get ccleaner and give you system a good clean out
use a defrag program (one of the usual recommendations is defraggler) this can sometimes help although some people say they never notice a differenceDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Download, install, Update the FREE version of Malwarebytes then Perform Quick Scan. Delete everything it finds then Cut and Paste the log file it produces into this thread.
Download and install Hijack This, Scan your system and cut and paste the log file into this thread.
Also, when responding, state the make, model and amount of RAM memory installed in each of your computers.0 -

Once I've downloaded malwarebytes and hijack should I leave them on the computer ,when I rebot doesn't my computer go back to how it was when I first bought it wouldn't I loose the updates that I've done ?0

unless you two are the same person, you are posting in the wrong thread.
a factory restore takes it back to when you bought it, all data gone, all new programs gone - if you are considering it, backup all your data first
leave malwarebytes etc, occasionally run a FULL scan with it, after updating definitions, and fix anything found before closing, it's a backup should avast miss anything, and it won't slow your pc down.!!

Have you taken any action yet re the Malwarebytes and Hijack This scans? If so, why haven't you posted the log files into this thread?
If you are confused about how to use the programs, go to Google and first type in "Malwarebytes tutorial" and afterwards "How to use Hijack This".
When you have the instructions sussed, run the two scans annd post the log files in this thread. Somebody will then respond.
In the meantime post details of your laptop and desktop eg make/model/ and which Operating Systems they are running eg Vista, XP, Windows 7 etc.
If you want help you will need to follow closely the suggestions given as most of the techies on here neither have the time nor the patience to help someone who, for any reason, can't or won't follow instructions.
