i feel your pain. just had to go through the same rigmarole to get my c/g alg etc. Every time i spoke to someone they said that they needed something else. Bank statements were not enough, i had to send in my mortgage statement, insurance schedules etc. then they said i had to send in a bank statement to prove i was paying them!! they missed them from the first statement i had sent in because it was double sided, i too had highlighted things and they still missed them. in the end i phoned them up three days after i sent something in to make sure they had everything and eventually got it sorted.0

Do you use that sort of language around your children? If you think they are so thick, why not self fund?Gone ... or have I?0

Maybe we should invoke the "Student has shown they are unfit for support due to their conduct" clause in the regs...0

That would probably prevent quite a large number of students getting any funding I think, having read some of the posts on the Student Room.
It is frustrating, but I always tried to bear in mind that the people on the helpline were not to blame for the many issues I had with finance.'Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans'-John Lennon

I've used it twice in 4 years. Once was a student who was looking to do their 6th attempt at year 1, and the other was a student who tried to smash up our reception area by throwing potted plants around.0
