Not sure engine number but mine lost power from time to time ok when engine restarted. We thought it could be turbo but it's fine think 04 should be ok but if it starts needing coolant topped up or burns white smoke then hard to start get straight to garage. problem was only 1 2nd hand head i could get was Quigg's of Rasharkin half new part price. hope it's something simple to fix I'll see if I can check out engine number let u know.
  • don't know specific engine nos. but here's a few details off failed head :

hope yours isn't same, my replacement head manufactured in 11/06
  • Have no problems with mine, 2006 Seat Leon 2.0 TDI 140.

It's even remapped to 180BHP and it never gets driven easy. :p

So is it just 2005 models that are apparently effected?
