Help!!!!!!!
I cancelled my credit card with Barclaycard a few months ago...at least, I thought I had. I then got a bill which had a fine for non payment. Turned out that something like a couple of quid left (interest for the month despite paying it off to zero).
I had a charge for nineteen quid...so I phoned up customer services, explaining the problem and they took it off straight away (and were very understanding and even slightly apologetic). However, the BIG problem is that I have a mark on my Credit Report saying that I've missed TWO months worth of payments. The customer services guy said to check it but it shouldn't be added...but it has been.
How do I take this forward????
Thanks for any help.
Phil

You could write to them and ask nicely if they will remove them, explain it was an oversight on your behalf. However if they won't agree to them you will be stuck with them, as they are actually correct to be on there.
Once you clear a balance to nil there will always be trailing interest the following month which you will also need to pay.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Damn....thanks for your reply....I'm hoping that as the customer service guy said it shouldn't appear then they might agree to take it off....0

I would expect a battle of wits though.
