Talk Talk problems

I signed up to Talk Talk Broadband and home phone a number of months a go and had a lot of problems with them honouring a new customer deal that I signed up to. This has now been resolved after months of phone calls, emails and posts on their forums.

I have now discovered that despite me specifically asking to be registered ex-directory, they have made a mistake and my details have been published in local directories. They are aware they have made a mistake as they have sent me a letter apologising and offering me a new number.

I will be making a formal complaint but I was wondering if anyone could advise what I should actually expect as a result. Is such an error worthy of compensation or is offering me a new number the only thing they have to do?

Would appreciate any advice.
