Hi
Im looking to buy a new laptop as the one ive got really is past it.
Im looking to spend up to £1000, prefferably less. Going to buy online or instore. No way am i going to build it myself.
Anyone got any suggestions/one they've just bought that they can recommend.
Ive looked at PC Specialist and Cyberpower. But id rather buy one already made because i think its cheaper.
Thanks in advance,

you can't build laptops yourself.
would be good to know what you generally want the laptop for? gaming? entertainment? video editing? screen size you want?0 -
Sorry, it would be used for gaming, lots of photoshopping, itunes, files etc. and web browsing and films.
Looking for a 17'' screen, thanks0 -
something along the lines of this http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/dell-inspiron-7010-06684304-pdt.html should be able to play most if not all games.
although people on this board will say don't buy from PC world I have never had a problem with them, but perhaps you can find a similar spec machine direct from dell0 -
I was looking for about the same thing, a laptop for games below 1500. Unless you play some undemanding titles (old games), don't even think about it - I have a Dell Latitude 6400 at work (i5, 4GB RAM, nvidia card) and Starcraft2 is a joke on it. The m17 (Alienware) can easily go over 2000, although it seems the right thing for the job. There are some XPS Studio models with discreet graphics that might be in your budget, but you need to get a good discount - if you are not in a hurry, wait until Xmas to get more offers.0

well to help you here is the graphics card comparison for laptops
the one specified at PC world

now this might be better

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0
