Great Cheap Halloween Costume Hunt

What's it about?
The pressure on parents to spend rarely stops; we're in October so more often than not that means you've a Halloween party to go to or kids to dress up for Trick or Treating.
As always wait until the last minute and you'll pay through the nose to buy a costume.
What should you do?
Instead I thought I'd tap MoneySavers' extensive research power to find the cheapest places to buy costumes.

Wilkinsons. Broomsticks 99p, coloured hair sprays 99p (more choice of colours in Savers though for same price) and other nails, cauldrans etc from 39p.
Also charity shops. I used two black half slips (petticoats). Split one down the seam and my DD and I painted Stars, Half moons etc onto it and it made a fabulous cape. The other petti became a witches skirt.
