Bizarre letter from Nationwide

I recently sent Nationwide a SAR request and £10 PO. Today I got a letter saying they need a copy of my signature.
They also go on to say that they hold my address as "no trace" and I will have to collect the info requested from a branch of my nomination. They seemed to know where I live when they were sending threatening letters about my refusal to pay the charges they were adding to my account due a mistake made by them!
They have sent a form to fill in and sign and return in the "enclosed prepaid envelope" which was not enclosed :rotfl::mad: and a copy of their Personal Information leaflet, also not enclosed!!
Idiots!!
So what do I do next? Can I insist they send the info to my house, and do I have to sign this form?

You could try sending them this letter...

Which makes it clear that they do not legally need a signature to process your SAR. You should also add a paragraph stating that as they obviously have your address on their files for the purpose of debt collection activity, could they please send the SAR documents to that address, as collecting from a branch is inconvenient for you.
There seems to be a few people having this sort of hassle when sending SAR's, makes you wonder what the banks have to hide? :rotfl:
(Also, amend the last line which states "14 days." They have 40 days to process SAR's!)"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
Thanks barbiedoll, I've copied, amended and printed that letter.
I suspect they know they haven't got a leg to stand on regarding the charges they've applied to my account and are dragging it out hoping I'll give up and pay up. Not gonna happen!!!!
I'm a DFW and I know my rights0
