Tesco value DVD

Is tesco value dvd the same as DVD 1030 (also known as Technika 1030)? There is no brand name on it and please does anybody know how can I make it multiregion? Thanks.

It is the Technika dvd-1030, and here's the hack.

    1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
    2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
    3. Press the Next button on your remote control
    4. Press the Next button on your remote control
    5. Press the Next button on your remote control
    6. Press the Next button on your remote control
    7. The currently selected region should be displayed on the onscreen display
    8. Using the Left button on your remote control, change the region to 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 255 for multi-region playback
    9. Press the Setup button on your remote control

Thanks for this. I understand I have to press the next button four times, and if I do not want to change region one by one, I can press 255 for multi-region. Am I correct? It's so cheap, is this a good dvd player for spare. Thanks again

Yes, exactly as my post says. As for the DVD, you can't really go wrong at that price for a second (standby) DVD. If you don't like it, you can always take it back!!

Thanks again for your help. I have looked at my DVD's and I cannot see what region they are. I assume, the DVD I have bought here are region 2. What about the DVD's I borrow from the library or Tesco, is there any way I could find out what region they are, I presume they are region 2? Excuse my ignorance for asking such a basic question? Thanks

somewhere on the DVD cover should be a small picture of a squashed globe with a number on it. That number is the region.
Questions are only basic if you know the answer!!
