ESA appeal Tribunal won but need further advice

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share my ESA experience so far. I have been on ESA (C) assessment rate since July 09 for a social anxiety disorder, never claimed benefits before I have always worked. I attended the ATOS Work Capability Medical on February 2nd and 7 days later received a letter to say I had scored 0 points. I phoned DWP for advice they said I could appeal, filled in the necessary paperwork and my assessment rate was re-instated pending a tribunal. I have just come back from my tribunal which was held in Cardiff, and the judge & Doctor have awarded me 21 points!!! placed me in the work related activity group with support? which I am not sure what this means? also if I am due any arrears when will this be paid from? If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very grateful.:j

Hi Pete
I went through the same thing myself earlier this year.My money was backdated to the fourteenth week of my claim, which was April09. In the WRAG group you have to attend work focussed interviews when they send you an appointment, I actually had my first one before my tribunal. These interviews are just an informal chat with an advisor who will help you with any queries relating to any possible work you may be able to do albeit in the future. In my case I am unable to go back to the kind of work
I've always done so we are looking at online training in the hope that I may be able to find something that allows me to work from home at my mown pace. HTH

It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!0
