Which station was that?
They are on about getting rid of Quango's , so cmec may fall under that, the csa remains though!0 -
ITV lunchtimenews - yes they did speak about quangos and specified cmec - maybe I got the wrong end of the stick {very likely} I am new to the CSA/CMEC thing and I understood that cmec had replaced the csa so I put 2 + 2 together and hopefully I have come up with 5
otherwise I have just sunk

CSA2 is based on a percentage of net pay.
The word on the net (before all this) was that CSA3 would be based on a percentage of gross pay at about 12% and would be taken from tax returns - trying to close the loophole where a proportion of NRPs stuff their money into pensions to avoid paying I suppose.
Dunno how this affects the those plans, I've had no need to do any research for a while

From 2011: The new 'gross income' statutory maintenance scheme will be established. Latest available tax year information from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs will be used for child maintenance calculations, which will be based on gross rather than net income. Existing clients on both the existing statutory schemes will be actively supported either to make their own arrangements or to move to the new 'gross income' scheme.

From 2011, the Commission will introduce a new statutory maintenance scheme (the future scheme), based on latest available tax year information from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs. Using information from a single source is expected to significantly reduce the time taken to calculate child maintenance. The maintenance award will be fixed for a year unless income varies by more than 25%.*SIGH*

Thanks both. I guess that will avoid the need to get reassessments done, and will benefit child/ren if it benefits anyone.
Also, wonder if it is more cost effective than ringing up for payslips, then writing for them, then sending them back and asking for the ones actually requested...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Will become an executive agency of DWP who will have responsibility for its functions
That is what the table of quangos states.0 -
Does this mean the changes will still be implemented?
We will hopefully be free of the CSA in 2 years time, hoping to get through without having to transfer over to new system0 -
