PPI document lost

I had a loan with Lloyds a few years back and sold PPI but I know I mistakenly shredded it along with old bank statements!
Is there a chance I could get a copy from my bank do you think?

Hi there
Yes you can, but how long ago did you take out the loan (year)?
If its an ongoing account, just write a simple letter and request for a copy of your loan agreement, enclose £1 cheque or postal order and ask they supply by 12-14 days.
To retrieve the loan account number, if you bank online, this allows you to check any debits coming in and out over the last 7 years, so the account number should be shown next to the loan repayments made each month.
However, just as long as you have the account number and you know you were mis sold the ppi, then you can still continue to make a reclaim.

You dont need the agreement to make a complaint. I really dont know where people are getting this idea from but we are seeing comments like this daily now.
If you think you were mis-sold you can complain without having a single bit of paperwork.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). your right. But I suspect it is because they dont really know what they are complaining about! (or as they would put it, making a claim!)0 -
Maybe its back to unenforceable dunstonh!! I can see no other reason for needing the agreement to make a PPI complaint either? You dont need the agreement to make a complaint. I really dont know where people are getting this idea from but we are seeing comments like this daily now.
