Baby Bjorn brilliant, wilkinet, straps slipped so she ended up round my knees.
From prev. discussions, it seems to depend on your height as to what will work for you. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I agree with Lilac - I used a Freedom sling with no. 3 so I would have two hands free for crossing roads with the other two and it worked great. Wouldn't be without it. The great thing about these is if you are a a little on the large size (ahem!) she will make them to fit!0 -
Are you looking at getting a proper sling or a baby carrier?
wrap slings are the best tbh if you have the patience to get the hang of it, any baby carrier gives me backache so im firmly in the proper sling camp.0 -

Go on https://www.naturalmamas.co.uk great site for baby wearers. Don't get a carrier that faces out - it is not good for the baby & will be uncomftable for you.
I have used a moby strechy wrap with dd since she was about 2 weeks old. I also now have a rose & rebellion soft stuctured carrier, which is great - http://www.roseandrebellion.com/ A stay at home mum makes them.
My dd loves being carriedSAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -
I loved my Kari-Me stretchy wrap, and also love my woven wrap, but I also have an Ergo which is fab. Hated baby bjorns, they are uncomfortable and don't last long in terms of use as baby grows out of them so quick. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Sorry, I know I have posted my opinion already, but sat thinking about this thread earlier, and remembered something funny.
When we'd gone to the rugby one time, DD was about 2 years old, so she was in her rucksack style carrier, on Dh's back.
I heard some of the away fans talking to DD, but didn't think much of it, as she was always gibbering away to anyone, so I assumed she was just having her "conversation" returned.
The next thing, I heard Dh shout "eugh"...with the encouragement of said away fans, she's stuffed some crunched up mini cheddars down his ear!! No amount of shaking would dislodge the last o the debris!
Then, to add insult to injury, the mischievious away fans then told her to rinse them down with a good glug of the juice she was drinking!
The looks Dh got from his practice nurse at the doctors the next day when he was trying to convince them that he, a nearly 50-year-old man, had REALLY grown out of sticking food down his ear was priceless. She kept looking at DD in her buggy, saying "I can't believe a little sweetie like her would do something like that"....the poor nurse couldn't keep a straight face, and Dh became the talk of the Doctors practice for ages:rotfl:
So, the moral of the story....when they get to backpack age.....let their Daddy carry them:T**This space is available to rent**0 -
Wow, thanks for all the advice! I have a wealth of information to go through but I feel a lot more informed about what is out there now
Guess everyone is different so we just need to try a few and find out what suits me, oh and baby!

Hope I won't be confusing things lol but I have a hug-a-bub (wrap sling) that I bought having read rave reviews and I absolutely love it! It wasn't cheap but it's been used so much I don't mind - it's the only reason I've managed to do anything at all today as my boy is being mr miserable due to his teeth and a snotty nose!! I only wish I'd had one when my other two were bubs.:):heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0
