Young person bank account

My daughter is 17 years old & has just started an accountancy apprenticeship. She goes to college one day a week so therefore cannot be classed as a student. She earns £10k per annum. She has recently passed her driving test & owns her own car so would be interested in breakdown cover. What would be the best bank account available for her?
Thank you in anticipation...

She could probably do worse than Lloyds TSB paying 2.5%.

Packaged accounts aren't usually available to under 18s.
I'd suggest registering with www.topcashback.co.uk and buying the breakdown cover from there. A basic policy costs less than £30 with typical rebates of £20 on offer last time I looked.0 -
most banks offer accounts for under 18 year olds. I would personally recommend hsbc and lloyds tsb as both have good visa debits and the hsbc comes with a cheque book.0

they also both come with internet banking.0

depends where you live. if your in scotland you'll have good local branches. what I also like is how on your statements it shows your branches number so if you have a query you can just call up. if your in england or wales your local branch will soon be santander unless you choose a scottish branch-only problem is your not going to be able to quickly nip down to your branch. you could always use natwest or ulster which are basically rbs's0 -
I would say a HSBC MyAccount
www.hsbc.co.uk/under18s
Comes with a ViSA Debit & and excellent internet banking service.0
