My cpn has a photocopy so I will request to see it or go through it with her on Monday. I think she didn't want me to see what she has wrote on some of it incase it affected me. I think they are keeping quiet about some of my diagnosis for now since I am in a fragile state and meds haven't stabilised me yet or got to their therapeutic dose. This is me just assuming though.
I am not entitled to esa due to lack of national insurance contributions so £37.90 from dla just isn't what I was expecting to be entitled to considering how sever my condition is right now and how disabling it is to my day to day.0 -
Sorry to hear that Kendell. I really hope you are on your way to recovery or atleast stability. I should have been in hospital a good few times but because of my young daughter, I was delusional for so long, thinking she would be taken off me and suffered in silence with it all.
The meds are worse than the condition I find. Hope you are taking to treatment well

A lot of bipolar sufferers seem to get atleast middle rate or high rate so you can see why I am shocked at my low rate reward. Still can't help thinking they rushed through my claim to come to conclusion they did. Great to here from others who understand what it is like

Thanks Mand
i've been like this since I was 17, 40 now. Been in hospital every year at least once since then. I don't ever really stabilize.. just muddle through.
I always get sectioned, so have no choice about hospital. I hate meds, but take them:j £2 coins = £2.00 :j0 -
I have also had mine since I was 17 and 27 now. You sound like you have accepted it which is a positive thing it itself. You will feel good having some independence with your new place. Wish you all the best and fingers crossed no more visits to hosp :beer:0

I'd write your appeal using the rates I showed above explaining why you need more help than they say you do. Good luck!0

Thanks RazWaz. I will make sure I provide all the evidence I can and maybe put in statements from all the people that care for me and what they do to help. Here's hoping I atleast get middle rate. I feel I deserve it.

Have you made sure you meet the criteria for middle care?
The criteria is:Middle rate
If you need help with personal care frequently or supervision continually throughout the day only, or help with personal care or someone to watch over you during the night only, or someone with you while you are on dialysis.
