Hi i bought a Acer Aspire Netbook from Carfone Warhouse priced £199 for my son for xmas on the 09/10/10 but i failed to ask him first wat he wanted from santa and now he wants a BMX bike the Carfone warhouse site says it wont accept returnsx for a working laptop but i really need the cash back as he really wants a BMX please help is there a way round it

No there's not. Unfortunately they don't have to accept a return unless it's faulty.0

Did you buy it online or in a shop?
If you bought it online you CAN RETURN IT FOR A REFUND under the Distance Selling Regulations, however if you bought it in a shop, you can't.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

Same rule as I gave about fammable money on another post, though if you bought from a website DSR may be available, if this is within 7 days. Goods must be unused and in original packaging.
Though if the software has been used, then this does invalidate your rights to return such goods.
If you purchased from a shop, unless the goods are faulty or not fit for purpose, then you have no right of return, excepting the goodwill of the store.0 -

You could try it on ebay but you may have to accept a hit on the price it finally goes for0
