Yep - hardly worth downloading and burning them!

My only worry is that CDWow watch these threads and will disable it?
  • I have followed threads to get £2 off my last couple of orders, both new releases, and cd-wow seem to have held back the orders, saying they have problems with a supplier, suggesting I cancel them.

Are they on to me or am I just being paranoid?

    This happened to anyone else?

I've had an e-mail this morning from CD-Wow saying they're giving away vouchers of varying amounts for nothing, from 25p up to £8.75 (i.e. a whole CD).

    Here's the link: http://www10.cd-wow.com/promotion.php?promo_refcode=14944_1&affid=14944

You can enter as many e-mail addresses as you like by the look of it, and apparently the same one more than once.

    There's no catch, they claim.

But there is, sort of. Unless I've just been incredibly unlucky with it, it looks like they're only giving out £0.50 vouchers. I've tried it eight times (with seven different addresses (i.e. one twice)), and every one has coughed up a 50p voucher.

Should there not be rules against claiming to offer vouchers of different amounts but only giving out one?

At any rate, it's 50p off each purchase through that link. It would be good if people would post if they get a different amount to 50p off.

    cid.
  • Have just followed link and got £1 off so they do amounts other than 50p.

yeah i managed one £1 voucher from 8 different addresses in the 'biggest ever giveaway', so there are a few around. Better off just using the £1 voucher link though!

Can you put the same address in over and over and eventually get more than £1, that's the question...it certainly doesn't say anywhere that you can't.

You can use the same email address... I have done it a few times now with no problem. It appears to be an automated system that sends out an email with a voucher code every time you press go.
