jjb card rejection???

hi,
i am 18 years old and have had a vanquis cc for nearly 6 months now. i get close to my £250 limit but always ensure i pay it off via direct debit every month.

i asked vanquis about an increase and was told it was automatic (review every four months) and therefore i applied for the jjb cc. however i was rejected because i have a vanquis card. how does me having a vanquis card mean i cant have a jjb card? can anyone help?

thanks

How do you know you were rejected for having a Vanswiz card? sounds unlikey

Its nothing to do with having a vanquis card mate,if its the jjb card with sygma that would most probably be down with either lack of history or most defiantly your age,
  • hi,
thanks for your quick reply. when i was rejected it gave me a list of reasons as to why i may have been declined and one of them was if you have got a vanquis card. do you think it is worth me appealing?

That sounds extermely unlikley, Skanquis are sh*t cards no doubt but not really a reason for rejection :rotfl:

Not really, I would wait a few months then try another card.

    You didn't read it properly.

It said you should apply for a Vanquis card as a way to build up your score, it wasn't in the list of possible reasons for rejection, but a suggestion to help build your credit score :rotfl:

You simply need to wait until you've got a longer more thorough credit history before prime lenders will go near you.

Besides which, creditors can't see the name of the financial institutions your with when they credit check you, simply what kind of accounts you hold.
